DDEC III & IV Case & connector replacements

This DDEC IV with a broken off corner is an example of an ECM that could be saved with a case replacement.

This DDEC IV got over and a case replacement will not fix the torn circuit board laminate. However if the DDEC still runs and the laminated circuit board didn’t tear then replacing the case might be a good option.

DDEC case, plate and connector replacement

  • I try to keep good clean service plates ready to go but connectors can take a little longer to remove and reinstall. Figure 1 week for a connector replacement although it’s usually less.
  • Figure a week for case transplants provided other scheduled jobs are not pending.

Estimated cost $150-$850 plus return shipping

I don’t have a problem with making repairs to ECM with lots of case damage and proving warranty for that repair as long as the case is keeping the water out, has at least 3 mounting ears, supports the oem and engine side connectors on the sides and, isn’t cracked. Otherwise I’d need to replace the broken case to be able to provide warranty on any hardware repair I make.
